Precision Celebrates 14 Years of Exceptional Service as Engineer Retires

Specialist technical and management recruitment firm, Precision People, proudly celebrates the exceptional dedication of a valued engineer, Nev Haywood, who retired this week after an impressive fourteen years of service.

Nev began his journey with Precision People in 2010, initially working as a Machine Tool Wirermen. Over the years, he has contributed to the success of numerous local businesses in and around Leicester, becoming a reliable member of the Precision People family.

Scott Lydon, Managing Consultant of the M&E Team at Precision People, honored Nev’s commitment by presenting him with a £100 angling voucher as a retirement gift. Scott  remarked,

“Nev's dedication and hard work have been truly exemplary. His commitment and professionalism have made a significant impact on the companies he has worked with, and he will be greatly missed by all of us here at Precision People and the clients he has worked with. Our clients who have continuously recognised and acknowledged his skills will miss him, the quality of his work along with his “team first” attitude.”

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Leicester-based firm has established itself as a leader in recruitment services for Manufacturing and Engineering. Precision People has successfully operated across diverse industries, including aerospace and automotive, delivering top-notch talent solutions to its clients.

Reflecting on the current local jobs market, Director Phil Walker stated,

“I've observed a particularly challenging first and second quarter in the engineering hiring space. The market has been tough, with various economic factors impacting recruitment activity. However, from our extensive experience in this sector, we anticipate a turnaround as we move into the third quarter. Historically, this period has always shown increased hiring momentum, driven by project kick-offs and budget releases. We're optimistic and ready to help our clients navigate these changes, ensuring they secure the top talent needed to drive their businesses forward.”

As Precision People continues to thrive, it remains committed to connecting skilled professionals with leading businesses, driving success and growth in the East Midlands and beyond.
