Skilled Welder/Fitter

• Location: Corby
• Paying upto £18 per hour 
• Working hours: 7am till 4.30pm - Mon to Friday

Commutable from Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton & surrounding areas. Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Welder/Fitter. 

The Role - Welder / Fitter:

• fabricate / weld - MIG mild steel & stainless steel welding, as well as fitting & installing on site
• To fabricate medium to heavy-gauge metal components
• Working from engineering drawings
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Travelling to sites all over the UK & occasional overnight stays

Minimum Skills / Experience Required -Welder / Fitter:

• Have a good engineering background with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings      
• Experience site welding and fitting
• A background in construction would be an advantage 
• Ability to work with all types of metals
• Must have good attention to detail
• Be able to finish a product to a very high standard
• Be punctual and a good timekeeper 
• Be confident, organised and methodical
• Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to motivate others
• Work well as a team member
• Be able to problem solve and come up with solutions
• Driving Licence essential as you will be driving a company van
